Pula harbor sightseeing boat Tour is an opportunity to see Pula from the seaside and experience the view that seaman had through the ages coming into the harbor of Pula. We can see the place where "Viribus Unitis" sunk and remains of harbor instalations on the coast and on the islands where Austrian naval force had its important bases. After the revolutionary year 1848, the Austro-Hungarian Empire realized the importance of Pula's harbor and started an intensive development of a huge naval port and shipyard. The harbour is 8,6 km² big, and it was half commercial and half military harbour, declared 1866 to main naval port of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy and a fortress of the first rank. In the harbour was Naval Academy, Hidrographic Institute, Artillerielaboratory, Arsenal, Shipyard, Submarine station and a base for hydroplanes founded 1911 on the St. Catherine's island.

Our ship brings us to the place where "Viribus Unitis" sunk, near St. Catherine island where the hydroplanes base once stud, next to Puntisella to harbour wall, from where we can see the harbor entrance and Brijuni islands, then we drive back next to the St. Andrew island where you can still see the remains of the fortress. On our right side we see the Naval church, we sail next to the shipyard "Uljanik" where we see the "Admiralat" building, also the building of "Kriegsmarinekommando". Sailing back from there we enjoy breathtaking panorama of the city with the venetian fortress on the hill, the Amphitheatre and hotel Riviera.
